Our theme the first week of Summer was the Ocean and Sea Creatures. We read books about the ocean, made under the sea crafts and visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They have so many amazing exhibits for the kids. They loved touching the stingrays and sharks, seeing all the beautiful jellyfish and having the waves crash right above them. It was a perfect ending to our first week of Summer.
On the way, we had to make a stop in Santa Cruz. They loved the rides, kettle corn and winning stuffed animals. It was fun driving by all of the fruit and vegetable farms. The kdis loved shopping at the fruit market and getting lots of strawberries, cherries, nectarines and plums. Yum!
